Let me tell you a truth

I could speak it plain, with nothing to hide,
No filter, no twist, just truth untied.
It may strike you hard, like a heavy stone,
But it's the path to what you’ve always known.

Or I could weave it gentle, soft as air,
With compassion’s thread, handled with care.
Let the unspoken truth quietly unfold,
So you can grasp it, steady and bold.

May I hold the truth, wrapped it disguise,
With words that hide and words that rise.
I dress it up, half in light, half in shade,
So I may shine in the mask I've made.

Yet sometimes, with colors that aren’t mine,
I paint the truth as a whispered lie.
A canvas of hues, my created frame,
Where truth grows dim and shadows claim.

In the end, no matter how it’s spun,
The truth will stand, when all is done.
Whether in daylight or shadowed hue,
It’s the path that will lead back to you.
